I ci Camping Valserine, located in the Natural Park of Haut-Jura , we love the proximity to nature.
In fact, the mountain offers us a daily show, different according to the seasons and the times of the day. The view of the Monts Jura reveals a whole world to explore, on foot, mountain bike, ski ... The Valserine, natural river, is sometimes quiet and peaceful or conversely, agitated by increasing its flow. It is also nice to go along the campsite or take the time to sit down to contemplate it.
If you walk around the campsite, you will enjoy all its trees and majestic fir trees. The flowers decide to show their colorful faces everywhere on the sites; so we prefer to mow grass late and benefit from this wild flora as much as possible.
This is why we are entering an eco-responsible approach.
But what does this approach represent? These are small everyday gestures that we try to change or improve. We suppress, for example, things that are not indispensable; like the straws of our drinks. We avoid as much as possible polluting our pretty nature of chemicals; thus the weeding is carried out by a "sweet, non-toxic salt potion".
In the same way, sanitary maintenance is disinfected and cleaned thanks to the "tricks of grandmothers" based on white vinegar, bicarbonate and essential oils. We also installed two comps, so that there is room for all our and your Oraganic waste. Still with this in mind, solar panels partially heat water sanitary.
If each one makes a little effort, as much as possible, we tend every day to an improvement.
During your stay, we would like you to add your little stone, by controlling your waste. We will be many, to stay in this peaceful place, and we all see, that the waste is inevitably numerous.
The future of camping is: to make you always more enjoy a little bit of scenery and new things.
Our first steps in this direction were the acquisition of Moutons de Soay, so that they take care, in part, of our green spaces. The installation of compasses, we also want to heart, to create the cycle, to give back to the earth, what she gave us. In 2019, we signed the refuge convention LPO (League of Protection of Birds) in favor of the biodivity and the protection of fauna and flora.
Meanwhile, so that Valserine remains this little jewel of purity and happiness , we count on you to take care of it
Through sorting, by collecting all its waste (paper, cigarette butts, excrement of animals ..), not wasting water or heating. And we especially wish you, to enjoy your loved ones, and the time that passes; to relax, to laugh, to bask, to daydream, ... To relax, simply.
A pleasure to receive you, E lise & S amuel.
The sheep of Soay
(Lord et Ficelle) Lord and String are distracted by the management of eco-pasture .
A one-year-old couple (born 2018) who is expected to expand his family in the spring. This rustic breed, originally from Scotland, did not need the "hand of man" to live. Living on a small archipelago, they were introduced on the continent, in order to clean paturrages, parks and green spaces.
At the campsite, Lord and Twine take care of the weeds, "mow the lawn" and finally, well adapted to the presence of the man. Lord particularly appreciates the papouilles above the muzzle and String likes to rest on the sides of the swimming pool while observing the swimmers.
Chapi and Chapo born in April 2019, bring us good fresh eggs every day and lots of chatter. They appreciate the company and have lots of gossip to tell about their rabbit roommate. Chapo the group leader, always struts his head high and lounges in the baths of dust; while Chapi, quieter, spends a long time in the henhouse preparing his egg.
The Belier Rabbit
Queue de coton (Cotton tail) is a 5 year old rabbit, with long drooping ears. She loves dandelions and pink clover. Doyenne of the Picoti Picota enclave , she is calm, calm and smart. Observer, we must redouble in vigilance because the latches have no secret for her and she manages to open them. You will probably see it dig holes, second occupation after nibbling.
Fleur (Flower) born in February 2019 is a cross angora, maincoon. She is sweet, sociable, curious and bitchy. She would have crunched a chunk of Chapo chick and loves to hide to jump on Fastoche.
The mice have only to behave well, it monitors our County and our Bleu de Gex!
The malted Bichon
Fastoche warms our armchairs during our absence and is an excellent hot water bottle on our knees. He is a member of our family for 9 years.
The wildlife of the campsite
Many species of birds , squirrels , sometimes a fox ... Open your eyes wide, a robin is placed on a nest box and a squirrel tries to reach the crisp pine cone. Campers had the chance to meet the fox.
Program Le Valserine Solidaire
In 2019, we created the Le Valserine Solidaire program (PLVS01) to help childcare organizations or low-income families come on holiday in the mountains and perform sports and leisure activities. For this, we commit to pay 1% of the turnover of the campsite! But we also rely on private donations and / or the participation of local activity presenters.
If you wish to support the program or propose an activity, contact us!
With our convictions for nature, we signed in 2019 the refuge convention LPO (league of protection of the birds); thus committing us to preserve nature and improve bio-diversity on our campsite.
Pays de Gex Cyclist Tour
We are partners of the Tour Cycliste Pays de Gex which takes place every year at the beginning of September.
